£72 million from 2 individuals - both of whom have faced questions about money laundering, both of whom live/d overseas to avoid tax - is not compatible with democracy. I don't care if it's Reform, Labour or whoever. We can't function like this. Not for long. So how do we fix it? My plan:

NHS trusts have responsibilities as employers to keep staff safe and as regulated organisations to be candid, open and transparent Worst of it was that the central agencies were in total denial about airborne risk, about PPE specification and their guidance was used as a shield

It is an unwise and unhelpful thing to do. It causes great distress to the family of the victim in most cases and adds nothing whatsoever to meaningful social discourse as nobody has even a fraction of the evidence when spouting their opinion. I've even represented a random tweeter for Contempt.

If personal allowance of 12,570 (frozen in April 2021) had increased in line with inflation, it would be around £16,048 for 2026/27. As a result basic rate taxpayers will pay additional £696 in income tax in this year alone, and additional national insurance where applicable.

It’s possible to reduce emissions while growing the economy. Many countries have decoupled economic growth from CO₂ emissions, even if we take offshored production into account. You can see this in the chart for a selection of large economies.

On hatred.
I hate all of this in almost every way a thing can be hated. I hate the factless waffle that surrounds Big AI’s every improbable goal. I hate how insipidly stupid, or just plain evil, those goals so often are, and the yawning chasm between them and any form of achievable reality. I hate that Big AI’s successes are inflated and its failures ignored — or are even categorised as hilarious mis-steps, like when AI chatbots tell people to eat poisonous mushrooms, put glue on pizza, or make air diffusers from chlorine gas.

I hate that Big AI consumes so much energy that every time you generate a six-fingered portrait of Anne Frank or a scene from the Vietnam war in the style of Studio Ghibli, you might as well just kill a polar bear with a crossbow. I hate that it can run roughshod over every copyright law and environmental protection on the planet in pursuit of the data it needs to continue failing, with no consequences save for the enrichment of the worst people on Earth, who have managed to make all of this magical bullshit seem sensible to an intellectual class comprised of people I wouldn’t trust to print an email.

I don't know if it exists, but I'd want to show something that was based on data from 2022 onwards - after mass vaccination. People have had at least 2 vaccines & probably a couple of infections by now & believe the earlier data doesn't apply any more.

This is a venn diagram showing how 69 Trump actions map onto domains covering: undermining democratic institutions; suppressing dissent and media; dismantling social protections; attacking science and education; destabilising the global order. Another reminder: Respiratory infections spread mainly through the air. That’s why they affect the lungs. Masks, worn correctly and consistently, reduce the spread of respiratory infections. Respirators work better than masks. Washing hands isn’t wrong, but it won’t stop airborne transmission.
