Quilt hanging on a card catalog. Neutral background with navy cursive appliqué “Do you hear thr people sing?” The background is embroidered in red starting light and getting bolder the lyrics to “killing in the name” the quilting effect is a focused sunburst from the center.

Great system, no notes www.propublica.org/article/scho...
Voucher programs and the private schools they increasingly fund have proliferated across the country. Yet those schools often reject children with disabilities — the very kids who were used to help sell early voucher programs to lawmakers and the public - for having needs that are too costly, complex or disruptive. That leaves those children with few options beyond the public schools. And as public schools lose enrollment as a result of more and more
voucher use, they lose resources that would benefit children who remain, including those with disabilities.

Of course I'm biased because I created it, but I honestly find this poster so useful - it helps me slow down and make conscious decisions about what I do, what strategies or aids to use, and what I need to do to recover. It's also a great way to help other people understand my decisions.
Title:

“To do or not to do?” pacing and activity decision chart [blue header and footer.] (Note: This is a simplified version. This process varies between individuals.)

This chart has boxes with questions in – each box having a yes or no answer – which sends you down different paths to help you reach a conclusion about whether to do an activity or not (or to help explain your decision to someone else).

Box 1: Given current symptoms, will I be able to complete the task?
Yes
Box 2: Will it cause a significant increase in pain/fatigue/other symptoms?
Yes/Unsure
Box 3: Can I make it more manageable by: splitting the task into smaller sections? using an adaptation or aid to make it easier? asking for help with challenging parts of the activity? having an exit strategy if it turns out to be too much?
Yes.
Box 4: do I have enough recharge time between now and when I next need to function?
No.
Outcome: Best not. It may be okay to do this in emergencies or on special occasions.

JUST skimmed a piece in the Harvard Gazette that totally validates this "any little bit is better than doing nothing" news.harvard.edu/gazette/stor...
"In a 2019 study in JAMA Internal Medicine that looked at all-cause mortality in some 16,000 older women, Lee and colleagues found that women who averaged 4,400 daily steps had a 41 percent reduction in mortality over sedentary women, and mortality rates progressively improved with more steps until they leveled off at about 7,500 steps.

Later research has shown that sedentary adults start to rack up benefits from movement with just an extra trip around the block — 500 to 1,000 steps.

The findings are heartening, Lee said.

“For people at the lower end [of physical activity], people who do nothing, they see a recommendation to get 10,000 steps and they think, ‘I can’t do that, so I might as well not get started,’” she said. “But with the research, now we can tell them that any little bit is better than doing nothing.” "
