first time seeing one of these four-quadrant charts that i actually enjoyed. not sure if it's a "bisexual perfume," but i really enjoy carlen parfums's "butch femme," which smells like pho (the vietnamese soup) substack.com/home/post/p-...

A screenshot of a Substack post. It says:

"the tasteful twink

i surveyed 12,000 bisexuals—these are the most bisexual perfumes

The notoriously neurotic sex columnist Carrie Bradshaw once described bisexuality as a layover on the way to Gaytown. “When did the sexes get all confused?” she lamented after a bi boy sent her into a self-righteous straight girl spiral. Such a sentiment would surely land Carrie in public relations purgatory today, but this was the early aughts, when sexual fluidity was a foreign concept to everyone except Samantha Jones and every bottle of perfume was assigned a sex at birth."

A four-quadrant chart with fem to masc on the x-axis and girl to boy on the y-axis. There are a bunch of fragrances scattered throughout depending on whether people think it's fem-girl, masc-girl, fem-boy, or masc-boy

Sam Altman has literally said this out loud. He wants to sell “intelligence”. He doesn’t mean “AI intelligence” They want to steal all our knowledge by burning our books for the AI, make us unable to think criticallly to rediscover our own humanity, & force us to pay for shitty AI “intelligence”.

The Temppeliaukio Church in Helsinki’s Töölö district was designed by brothers Timo and Tuomo Suomalainen and opened in 1969. It’s a brutalist beauty hewn out of solid rock with a domed copper roof. They were setting up a concert inside it today (acoustics!) hence all the people in the pics.

I’ve seen lots of Helsinki things today so here’s a thread. I started with a tour of the Alvar Aalto House in the northern suburb of Munkkiniemi. Built in 1936, it was the family home and office of modernist superstar architect Alvar and his equally talented architect wife Aino.

Roof terrace of the Alvar Aalto House. Scenic but also home to a nest of bees at the moment!
