I thought the new Resident Evil film was great. I liked how it broadly matches up with the experience of actually playing a RE game; finding guns, looking for ammo, opening paths to new areas, solving puzzles, etc. It’s really funny, too. Go see it!

a little look at how we write the script for The Mermaid Mask - I write the script directly into the Unity editor, including the voice directions. Then that gets automatically exported into a document for the actors to read. Then, once we have the audio, we import it back into the dialogue system

I played Crow Country! The game took around 10 hours to beat. This game was absolutely amazing 🥹 the story was unpredictable and thrilling from beginning to end, it was a joy to experience! The gameplay was also super fun, and the game was filled with tense and exciting moments! It was immaculate 😭

I used to be a big fan of Kojima’s games but as someone who really doesn’t like the trend of real actors appearing in video games, I couldn’t be less interested in his modern-day output as it seems like that’s entirely what he’s focused on.

Here is one of my earliest drawings of The Mermaid's Tongue (for The Mermaid Mask) Originally, it was capable of its own form of speech (it was even one of the suspects, at one point!) I had fun researching the earliest automatons and talking machines, all of which are, of course, rather unsettling

all the sentence-puzzle icons I had to draw for Tangle Tower, and then again for The Mermaid Mask. There's an obvious scope difference, but it's also interesting to compare the colours and vibes - Tangle Tower is all punchy fruit/flowers/gems/etc, Mermaid Mask is quite murky and slimy in comparison

The Mermaid Mask launched 1 month ago and it's gone so much better than we dreamed! Over 2,300 Steam reviews - so many of them glowing - and 99% positive, we couldn't have asked for a better player response. And sales-wise, TMM almost did as well as Crow Country in its first month. Just finished playing The Mermaid Mask, the new detective game from the makers of Haunt the House, Crow Country and of course Tangle Tower. Absolute 10 out of 10 for me, really really recommend picking up this game!! Gorgeous art and music, intriguing story, and FULLY voice acted - a must play!!
