I almost forgot that today’s the 30th anniversary of the late Ted Turner’s company (owner of Hanna-Barbera, New Line Cinema, CNN, Cartoon Network, pre-1986 MGM films, and the 30s and 40s WB color cartoons) merging with Time Warner. Probably the least crappy WB merger to date.

"Didn't a Wallace & Gromit film win Best..." DreamWorks Animation distributed it. They didn't make it, Aardman did. DreamWorks has never won another Oscar for Best Animated Film with a film THEY made. They've come close many times though.

Good lord, do I miss this DreamWorks Animation. They really had a great thing going for a while & created magic. Then Shrek, a movie made purely for spite, won a ton of awards including the 1st Best Animated Picture Oscar, and they never looked back. Or won another Oscar for their animated work.
