Robyn may not be a very original character, but I can’t hate her - because the grief she faced is presented in a powerful manner. I know friends with loved ones they had to say goodbye to at a very young and/or impressionable age who feel seen by this song, and I definitely understand why.

“WHY IS DA SIMPSONS HERE?!?” Sure, The Simpsons is an adult series, but it’s tame compared to cartoons like Family Guy and South Park. It even won this award in 2002 (making the show the only non-NickToon series to get it). King of the Hill was also nominated for it in 1998.

And now “We’re All Just Blocking the Street” has become the latest Family Guy meme. The post below gained a lot of traction over on the former bird site. I’m not sure if that’s the reason why the spotlighted scene became a meme, but you never know with the way the internet works now.

One of the worst "criticisms" you can give a piece of media that I frequently come across is "An earlier piece of media did what this new one is doing first!" So? As the old saying goes, "There's nothing new under the sun." What matters most in good entertainment is execution.

Saying I like it would be a bit of an understatement: Amphibia is my third favorite series from Disney Television Animation - behind only The Ghost & Molly McGee and Phineas and Ferb. It's also my personal favorite of the studio's story-driven cartoons (unless you count Molly as one of them).

The very first Sonic game I ever had as a kid became mine again last night for only $30 - thanks to a very generous Facebook Marketplace seller.
Sonic Heroes - developed by Sonic Team and published by Sega for the Nintendo GameCube on December 30, 2003.

The specific copy of this title I just purchased is a later reprint with Nintendo's Player's Choice banner on the front cover (and the black version of the GameCube logo across a gold background at the bottom of the spine, though this element of the game’s packaging is mostly obscured in the photos I took of it right after my newest video game acquisition). The back cover for Sonic Heroes on the GameCube provides the following description for the game below the pictographs for accessories that support it, and above a character portrait of Team Sonic - all of which are to the left of images with gameplay showcases and renders of the other teams in the title:

"JOIN THE TEAM!

Sonic has returned with his long-time pals Knuckles and Tails to defeat the evil Dr. Eggman. Through teamwork, this powerful group of heroes - along with three newly formed other super teams - must dash past, soar over, and bash through the villainous Eggman's forces.

In the fight for world domination, which team will you join?"

Below the description and above the left side of the Health & Safety Warnings and legal information on the back of the game's packaging are bullet points highlighting the title's core elements:

"*Team Sonic. Team Dark, Team Rose or Team Chaotix -
Choose one of 4 teams!

*Effortlessly switch between allies to fight evil, solve puzzles, and explore huge environments!

*Astonishing variety - 14 stages with unique paths and adventures for each team!

*Multiplayer battles let you compete in an assortment of mini-games!"

Placed across a bold black background, the text on the back cover detailing aspects of the game is presented in a variety of fonts that make it apparent (but in a cool way) the title is a 2003 game.

Randy Newman recorded a demo track for “If I Didn’t Have You” that made it to Monsters, Inc.’s soundtrack. As grand as Mike and Sully’s version in the film may be, there’s something poignant about a rendition where Newman does the whole song himself in the confines of his personal recording booth.

At least until the panic and paranoia related to the merger cools down, I’m muting Skydance, Paramount, and Warner Bros. out of my timeline on this site.

“Err, actually, the first scripted original live-action comedy series Disney Channel received was Flash Forward, while Adventures in Wonderland was a pre-Playhouse Disney preschool show on the network. 🤓”
Strawpage question submission #70:

“Have you ever heard of the first live-action sitcom produced specifically for Disney Channel - Adventures in Wonderland? The show stopped rerunning in 1998, and so 19 of its 100 episodes were lost media until the series was made available on Disney+ when the service launched.”

It only makes sense to see the most famous “smarter-than-average” bear on high-def disc after Huckleberry Hound and Quick Draw McGraw hit it. Yogi Bear is getting his show’s Complete Series DVD set upgraded to Blu-ray on November 24, 2026 - thanks to (of course) Warner Archive.
The front cover for the Blu-ray release of The Yogi Bear Show: The Complete Series surprisingly features different artwork than its DVD counterpart.

Instead of a warm forest scene featuring Yogi sharing the spotlight with his supporting segments' stars Snagglepuss and Yakky Doodle like before, we have Yogi tipping his hat behind a stylish yellow sign with red outlines featuring the title of his show in slick caramel brown text. The Hanna-Barbera logo can be seen in white with outlines in the aforementioned shade of brown on the top left corner of said sign - complete with a possessive marker, so the title of the series has been turned into "Hanna-Barbera's The Yogi Bear Show".

Yogi's in front of a hiking trail at Jellystone Park, with Ranger Smith in the far distance to the right. Standing on the grass in front of Yogi to the right - with only the top half of his body in view - is Boo Boo.

To the direct left of Boo Boo is shockingly generic mustard yellow text reading "The Complete Series". At least the Warner Archive Collection logo is still presented up top (in white, to be precise).

I've been together with Marbles for approximately 17 months and counting as of this writing. At this point, my yumeship has lasted longer than every single one of my real-life romances. Don’t know whether that says more about my standards for an ideal partner or my luck. 😭

Curious George's page on the PBS Kids website is still up - complete with playable full episodes - even though PBS Kids lost George's broadcast rights. It's possible Universal gave up the streaming rights to Curious George so PBS Kids could keep the series in some capacity.
The PBS Kids website still offering its page for Curious George four days after that series left the PBS Kids linear channel. It continues to sport complete installments of the series that everyone (who lives in the United States) can watch.

Quaint, ain’t it? In fairness, though, the abrupt way the main penguin of this commercial got hit by that bulldozer and thus formed a snowball knocking all his fellow penguins out would definitely catch a wee tyke unfamiliar with the concept of slapstick off-guard.

What’s the stunt Nickelodeon did that comes back to haunt your thoughts most often, but hardly gets talked about? For me, it’s when the channel took “Dick in a Box” of all songs and made it about flatulence. Somehow, the original makes me feel less dirty despite centering around a sexual organ.

Tom and Jerry are supposed to be equal assholes to each other; that’s what makes their good cartoons funny. The same used to apply to Sylvester and Tweety, but Tweety got Flanderized into a wimp when characters like Granny and Hector were introduced and began going against Sylvester instead.
