Still kind of inconceivable how many people died or will die because of the death of USAID. And the world’s richest man did it almost as a joke

I think it is pretty obvious that all these attempts to steelman the refusal to hold Israel accountable in 2023-2024 are ipso facto also preemptive arguments for not doing so in 2029 and it is strange how people are being coy about that

The new West Bank policy if the “centrist” Gadi Eisenkot beats Netanyahu next month in the Israeli elections: ❌ Palestinian state ❌ Binational state ❌ Remove settlers / settlements ✅ Expand illegal settlements ✅ Legalize illegal settler outposts ✅ Demolish more Palestinian homes

There's a truth to this, but I think collapsing it to "Bossism" is wrong. It's just really hard to understand illegible tasks and tacit knowledge in general - that's what those adjectives *mean*.

Well, that’s not the opening paragraph I expected.
1. Introduction

In the 1988 sci -fi roleplaying game Cyberpunk , the European Currency Unit serves as the global currency (colloquially referred to as “euro dollar”, “ed" or “eddie”) . In the story, the dismantling of US
democracy, a sovereign debt crisis and geopolitical mistakes
trigger the collap se of the United States . The European Economic
Community steps in and uses its well -regulated banking system and
single currency to displace the dollar’s hegemonic role.

You will notice that at no point in this thread is there any engagement with actual Israeli policy, or the response of various Palestinian national movements, or how international law should be applied, etc, because it's mostly about his discursive enemies, rather than anything real or concrete.

Always funny when ostensible liberals are like "You see, this postcolonial conflict is actually very nuanced and complex, because what makes it so very unique is that the majority ethnic group doesn't want to share power with the minority ethnic groups." Oh wow, I didn't know that, that's wild man.

israelis are notably a minority within the territory they control and are (quite plausibly) doomed without western support, though i think neither of these things change the moral valence of israeli apartheid whatsoever

We could also just let them freely sell their water rights, which effectively isn't allowed. Same result: growing cheap alfalfa stops making sense when someone will pay several times more for the water. Let them have their windfall if that's what it takes. It's literally cheaper to buy them off.

It cut funding to IRS because the assumption that the way to catch tax fraud is to hire tens of thousands of auditors to look through paper tax returns by hand is insane
