I knew my dad would regret the way he treated me when he faced death,now that he does there’s no time to change and no grace for his stubbornness. But i need to find my peace and I’m wrestling with all of that in my heart now. I can accept his apology but I’m not sure about forgiveness

I’ve always struggled with emotional regulation, i had suppressed all of it to the point of detriment. But now being healthier and off alcohol i am easily swamped by them. I paid a lot of money to learn to feel again so it’s cool but also ive faced a lot of sadness that has to be felt and released
