But whoever imagines, upon this account, that masters rarely combine is as ignorant of the world as of the subject. Masters are always and everywhere in a sort of tacit, but constant and uniform, combination, not to raise the wages of labour above their actual rate. #SolidarityForever

I'm no expert on fiduciaries, but all of this strikes me as being "really bad." The standards imposed on a trustee are high, and law societies expect lawyers to be diligent with regards to any trust accounts they have set up. Mr. Rath could face very serious financial and professional consequences.

In honour of today's solar eclipse, here is a gentle reminder for everyone who needs a reminder of what are the different types of eclipses:
Page 18 from "Science Made Stupid: How to Discomprehend the World Around Us" written and illustrated by Tom Weller (1985). Pictures show an eclipse of the moon "occurs when the sun passes between the earth and the moon", an eclipse of the sun "occurs when the shadow of the earth falls on the sun" and an "eclipse of the arth occurs when you put your hands over your eyes."

As Trump returns to tariffs, it's worth checking out what we've gotten from the trade war so far.
Line chart titled "The United States currently has the highest inflation in the G7" showing year-ended consumer price inflation rates across G7 countries. The United States leads at 3.5%, followed by Italy at 3.0%, Canada at 2.8%, Great Britain at 2.6%, Germany at 2.4%, France at 2.0%, and Japan at 1.5%. The US inflation rate is more than double Japan's and stands as the only G7 country exceeding 3.0%.
