This comes a bit out of nowhere, and is for a VERY limited audience, but highly recommend that for any indie film makers out there, you include language in your contract that there is a path to buying back or regaining your film after a certain amount of time. It’s my one regret with MUTE.

Last few weeks I’ve kept smelling toast, randomly, at home but out and about too, and I remember the myth that this might be a sign of a stroke so I go and check and every time it turns out someone’s actually making toast. One reason comedy has contracted in Britain is that we've become very loose in what is considered a 'comedy' commission. No sleight on Taskmaster or Last One Laughing, but they're not comedies, they're game shows. There were comedians on Celebrity Squares but you wouldn't call it 'a comedy'.
