I managed to make it 20 blocks (6.5 km or 4 miles) before I caved and took an Uber. Wasn't the rain. Wasn't the wind. Wasn't the sweat. It was the fact that my boots are giving out on the pad and it was starting to cut my foot. X.x but still! For being inactive for like 3 weeks, that feels good.

One thing that makes me inexplicably happy is how I still talk pretty regularly with my previous coworkers and supervisor from my last job. I still regret leaving, but I I'm also pleased with where I am now. Just cool to receive a text message with a YouTube video that they thought I'd enjoy.

You know how I had an inkling that there was something "different" about me? I couldn't process the way others did. I'm very bottom-top. And it still blows me away how people can speak so eloquently without having to rehearse. Meanwhile, my thought are complex and deep...just sticks in my head.

Just because I was compelled I wore 95% of my bracelets to work today along with 3 necklaces of the same length. In the mirror in the morning I was like "this looks dumb." At work, the only comment I got was "you're wearing significantly more bracelets than usual". At home, I thought "that was fun!"

What's really depressing is when people don't acknowledge you for something as minor as a "Hey, long time no see!" That is reaching out. That is trying to re-establish a connection you once had that was obviously cherished. If you didn't end on a bad note, it's like burning a bridge for no reason.
