So, there's a ship full of explosives sunk near London, its got an exclusion zone and ever since ww2 the rule has been to just hope it doesn't explode (it'll apparently result in one of the biggest non-nuke booms ever, so that's nice). Govt are gonna try and remove the masts, so if you hear a boom.

So, on of my very minor obsessions is with the casting of Grima Wormtongue in LOTR partly because I'm kinda obsessed with Jeffrey Combs not getting it and partly because because Dourif was the 2nd Wormtongue and the guy who he replaced has never been revealed.

Fun fact, the norse had several war gods. One of them Tyr (whos name comes from God in proto-Indo-European) was into trad battle, honourable combat etc. And he's theorised to have been the OG Norse head. Then the norse decided to fight smart and replaced him with Odin god of dishonourable war.

Watched a fifties movie where 27 people end up in a lifeboat meant for 9 and the hero has to decide who gets forced out at gunpoint. Highlights include a small boy crying to be allowed to die with his parents, and a dog leaping into the ocean to be with the guy who'd been looking after it.

I have a silly idea that you can sum up empires via characters, usually ficitonal. Like, The British Empire is Spike from Buffy the Vampire Slayer. British, was the arrogant, strutting big bad of its day but later on went down taking out a much bigger, badder bad (nazis).
