The Arctic is the fastest warming region on the planet. Halting the reporting on how this affects the melting of ice caps, sea ice loss, permafrost thaw, ecosystem shifts and other climate feedbacks will not make all of that go away. We should not bury our heads in the sand.

What does one satellite look like from another's point of view? On 18 Jul we found out! MTG-S1 & Meteosat-12 share an orbital slot 36,000km up & sometimes cross paths. The IRS on MTG-S1 caught Meteosat-12 over Timbuktu, Mali. ⬇️ The image is low-res, but you see Meteosat-12's solar panels/antennas.

Sien jeg er 82, og ifølge Elin Ørjaseter skulle ha dødd uansett, tar jeg ikke toget til Sicilia denne sommeren. Slikt gjør jeg ved påsketider og i november/desember. Her bagatelliseres en klimakatastrofe som dreper. 41°C i Tyskland i juni burde skremme alle. Også fordi dette kun er begynnelsen.
