What if photosynthesis was visible? 🔎 FLEX will make it so, by mapping fluorescence from a Sun‑synchronous low Earth orbit at an altitude of about 815 km. How? FLEX is equipped with the Fluorescence Imaging Spectrometer, an instrument designed to detect and map this delicate glow from space.

On 26 August 2026, a glacier collapse on Langtang Lirung triggered a flash flood and debris avalanche in northern Nepal. Copernicus Sentinel-2 images from 12 and 27 August show the affected region before and after the event, revealing the increase in river water.
