It’s actually fine that the US govt doesn’t want to regulate AI development I mean, just look at the US railroads. The govt allowed the railroad tycoons to do whatever they wanted & it all worked out just fine <opens book called ‘History of Rail’ to pg. 1 & begins reading> Oh… Oh no…

Worth the wait
Joey Votto, legendary first baseman and human at Game 1 of the wild card game. He is wearing an epic blue and red blazer, sky blue tie with small black box patter, and crisp white shirt.

love this kind of Qajar art so much. one of my fav schools of art
A court musician playing the kamancheh. Oil on canvas painting from the Qajar Iran period. Painted in style or "School of Abuʾl-Qasim", dated 1816. Dimensions 55½ x 31 5/8in (140.8 x 80.4cm). Possibly part of a "series" of paintings.[1] Or, this was possibly part of a larger work by Abuʾl-Qasi, cut into pieces, of which four have been identified. That original was described as "a painting of Fath ‛Ali Shah seated in state attended by ten women. The composition extended around three sides of the room and the figures were almost life-size...."[2][3]

This has always been the case with Bernie. He gets the adulation that he does because he's a white cis guy who doesn't give a shit about anything but class, and that appeals to white cis guys who don't give a shit about anything but class.

This is a photo of our home planet taken only a few hours ago! So what? We have photos of Earth taken from space every day. Ah, but *this* photo was taken by a spacecraft ON ITS WAY TO JUPITER.
From the source: "Mostly black space, most of Earth visible at the top right of the image. Part of a spacecraft visible on the left."

There is something so unique & beautiful about baseball. It evokes a strong feeling of nostalgia while also providing a sense of comfort, normalcy, & routine in a world that has gotten so hectic. To have a voice to your summer is a blessing. It has no equal in sports & we are so lucky to have it.

When people from elsewhere dismissed him as a homer, I knew they really hadn’t listened to him, that they really didn’t understand him or the partnership with Kuiper. I agree wholeheartedly that his is a positive masculinity, especially in a sport that’s so often disappointing in that regard.

Raqefet Cave in Israel was a sacred burial site for the hunter-gatherer culture known as the 'Natufians' around 13,000 years ago. More recently, we've also discovered here the earliest evidence of BEER BREWING from grains. Even more remarkable because these people HADN'T INVENTED AGRICULTURE YET.

If you’re looking for positive masculinity, Kruk has it. Never afraid to show his emotions, supportive of his family and his team and his fans, willing to tell his best friend how much he loves him in public…just a great guy and a class act who also knows when to play the clown.

Two panel comic. Panel 1: a bat hangs upside-down from a telephone line at sunset. The bat is in front of a billboard advertising the Florida Mega Jackpot, which is valued at $5,318,008 - represented with a digital ticker. Panel 2: the POV flips to the bat’s upside-down perspective, which makes the digital numbers look like they spell “BOOBIES”. The bat appears delighted.
