The frustrating thing has been trying to explain to people that leaders of AI companies didn't just magically gain empathy, lmao. They're worried about the money. But, thus far, no AI that has gone rogue has had access to an Ultron-style robot factory. Or even major weapons systems.

I'm working on a little short story about how AI is currently a brain in a jar, and with all the young folks craving life like in the 80s and 90s, well... imagine we had to seal off the internet, and most digital comms. Go back to broadcast media, newspapers, analog phones with landlines.
