Cities should be paying people to bike. Cities should be buying people e-bikes. Cities should be rewarding people for convincing neighbors to ride bikes. Every trip by bike is a net financial gain socially. And it compounds, the more people who do it.

There’s a lot to be optimistic about in @mayor.nyc.gov’s Vision Zero Reimagined plan. The road to zero traffic deaths will surely be challenging, but it’s encouraging that the administration and NYC DOT seem truly committed. Looking forward to helping them get there.

Also a real wasted opportunity to build real neckdowns where possible. They put in the required tactile surface but then reinstall the exact same geometry the intersections had before. Ironically, the orange barrels prove that there's plenty of room to build these out to make them safer!
