I’ve come to the view that the state pension Triple Lock (or similar generous increases) needs to go on for longer. TL:DR because private pension savings are nowhere the level needed to make up the ‘other half’ of what we need in retirement. My piece for the Telegraph today:

Is it just me, or could we be a few years away from a constitutional crisis? Suppose Reform (or the Greens) win power with virtually no representation in the Lords - how do they get legislation through? Either create hundreds of new peers (love to see the vetting there..) or instant Lords reform??
