1. This isn't accurate. 2. Even if it was accurate - the whole point of insurance is that everyone pays in *case* they need it because by pooling resources it is *cheaper for everyone*. The people not using it are subsidizing it for others - so when they need it it is there. How insurance works!

Canadian exports to the EU cannot compensate for lost access to US markets. But a lack of fiscal restraint in Washington, coupled with the war in the Middle East, means it scarcely matters. Canadian exports are still growing as the Trump administration's economic policies work at cross-purposes.
