My favorite example of "DEI" is where they dismissed a highly qualified and experienced Black woman from the position of Librarian of Congress and tried to appoint Blanche. The irony of complaining about basing selection on race and gender and then replacing an expert with a white dude.

Ekco also made really fantastic bakeware in a couple of different patterns. I'm partial to this one which I've seen called starburst. It's at least 70 years old as far as I can tell.

It's hard to say which specific piece of cast iron I have is the oldest for sure, but this is a contender. It's roughly 100 years old. I restored it for baking sourdough.

I made Phở Gà! It took me three days, but it was a solid first attempt. #food 🍜
