Our draft Accessibility Remediation Metadata (ARM) standard is now available for public comment! The deadline for feedback is November 9. Thank you to our ARM Working Group members for their efforts to help make educational resources more accessible to all: www.niso.org/press-releas...
Cover page of NISO Z39.107-202x, ISSN 1041-5653, titled "Accessibility Remediation Metadata." Beneath the NISO logo and tagline "How the information world connects," the abstract explains that the standard provides a vocabulary for expressing how, and how far, a resource has been remediated to be more accessible to people with disabilities. It is offered in both human-readable and machine-readable forms.

A little bit about reading, a lot about how in scholarship the process should be as important as the output. Unfortunately, we were already in a world where output was king way before the AI wave came along and exacerbated all these problems. (500 papers not worth reading!!)

Rode out that little storm in a TTC bus. Hail rattling the emergency exit, rain streaming down the windows, everyone's phones going off simultaneously with the emergency alert, multiple intersections that lost power. And we're still within the TTC margin of error to be considered on time!

correct, they will also do this for border disputes! which is where you start to see why this policy exists, because if you think for a minute you can probably figure out why “someone at Google manually decides whether Chine or India is right about a border dispute” is a bad idea
