One thing about people citing slower car travel times on Bloor West following the bike lane install is, well, that was kind of the point. Drivers were **averaging** nearly 20 km/h over the current speed limit at spots. Road revamp has brought speeds closer to limit. www.toronto.ca/wp-content/u...
Two bar charts comparing average and 95th percentile vehicle speeds in km/h across five Toronto locations over three time periods (2021/23, 2024, 2025/26), with a posted speed limit of 40 km/h indicated by a dotted line.

🚨 Key: the distrust is manufactured.👇 Irony: Right wing media IS the dominate (ratings, ownership, influencers, etc) news now. Fox News attacks the media roughly every 15 minutes www.niemanlab.org/2026/10/fox-... via @niemanlab.org "Only 8% of Republicans expressed trust in the news media..."

Fox News attacks the media roughly every 15 minutes, our study finds. (CNN? Every 140 minutes.)
"Disparaging journalism is a far more central part of Fox News programming than it is of either MSNBC or CNN programming."

Today in my public finance class, two days before the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation: a treaty is a fiscal commitment. The 1850 Robinson Treaties promised annuities that rise if the land produces enough "without incurring loss." Frozen at $4 since 1875. Still being priced.

The HCIC collaboration with the PWHL has people telling on themselves. First it was terrible that it wasn't hockey and Canadian institutions are dying, blah blah. Now naysayers have come back to say that it's can't be wOmEn'S hOcKeY. Still very white and expensive - but not male.
