Sometimes I wonder about students who are a declared major who enroll in an elective class in their declared major but who neither come to a class in their declared major nor engage with course material. Like what is the point particularly if you flame out in the course?

So in talking to my Scranton guy at the uni print shop they can do more than scantrons so DYK you can use them for scan handwriting to text, setting written exams to scan, and so many options because your law school did

Read the release: $162M over five years for 10,000 co-funded Mitacs placements. That's ~2,000 a year. In 2017 Ottawa funded Mitacs to reach 10,000 a year. A five-year total announced like it's a new annual number.

Today in my public finance class, two days before the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation: a treaty is a fiscal commitment. The 1850 Robinson Treaties promised annuities that rise if the land produces enough "without incurring loss." Frozen at $4 since 1875. Still being priced.

It’s a mistake to think there’s anything about this story that is unique to Cornell. One in five women is sexually assaulted at college. The majority of them experience institutional betrayal if they report. I would like to believe this story will change that, but I doubt it will.

Last summer, I spotted a roof rat three times in our backyard in Calgary. The Rat Control guy (who looked exactly like Adam Driver) took me seriously because I called it a roof rat that what we would have in BC urban areas. We never caught it and he assumed it likely hitched a ride from BC.
