I just saw about Musk doing a Nazi Salute and I am having to physically restrain myself from getting up and deep cleaning my kitchen. And I HATE cleaning. I once had mushrooms growing in my bathroom. But right now, in the absence of chemical aids, it's hard not to do whatever it takes not to feel.

A year ago, I was flying home after 10 years in the US. Today I am scared + heartbroken, but acutely aware of the privilege of being scared + heartbroken from afar. Trying to balance holding space for American loved ones with feeling my own grief. Tomorrow, I know, we will get up and fight together.
