It seems apt that Manchester City fans adopted the Poznan, a celebration where everybody looks the other way.

I always get a brief moment of personal alarm when I read headlines like these, until I remember that I'm now in my 50s so unlikely to get conscripted. And then I remember that if push came to shove, I could probably be stuffed into three or four sandbags.

Shut the fuck up! You build cloud software! You are in full control of what gets built or not! Just because you don’t fully understand how Large Language Models make their decisions doesn’t mean that they’re “out of control” or “have their own intentions,” and your unwillingness to explain the difference and further fuel anthropomorphism only makes me more certain that you need to shut your fucking mouth.

If you see any CCTV videos of the recent mudslides in Nepal/China, be aware, they are graphic. The footage is taken from some distance, but the fate of the people you see running is not ambiguous. Absolutely horrifying. If you see fundraisers for Nepal or Tibet consider donating. They'll need it.

Following on from my last post about Paradise nightclub, Pontardawe, I am reminded of the time that I walked drunkenly home - in party shoes, mind, not trainers - because I didn't want to incur the wrath of my dad by asking for a lift. 13.7 miles. Over 5 hours. Heels fucked for weeks.
A snippet of Google Maps, showing that my 1988 post-nightclub walk from Pontardawe to home was 13.7 miles and took over 5 hours. Bloody hell, the naivety and energy of drunken youth, eh? My heels took weeks to recover.
