I always get a brief moment of personal alarm when I read headlines like these, until I remember that I'm now in my 50s so unlikely to get conscripted. And then I remember that if push came to shove, I could probably be stuffed into three or four sandbags.

Coming back to these, as I've just bought some. My excitement was immediately tempered upon opening the packet, to be greeted with the unmistakeably awful smell of a well exercised wet dog. Couldn't get past it to try one. Straight in the bin. 🤢

They should have taken the opportunity to combine the Stanford Prison Experiment, the Stanford Marshmallow Experiment, and the Stanford Linear Accelerator into a show where people assigned as guards or prisoners are repeatedly bombarded with either one marshmallow now or two marshmallows later.
