For every sink of washing up I do tonight, I'm having a beer. Beer #2 is my latest #homebrew Bergamot Witbier, of which I am quite happy with its drinkability.

Something I never thought of before, but someone asked me today - where does the word decibel come from? It was originally a measure of the loss of sound across a length of telephone cable. Something else I didn't know is that it's a logarithmic scale. Named after Alexander Graham Bell.

Another HB NA beer. This one's unusual because the hop character is like no hop over ever tried. Kind of piney, kind of geranium. Clearly NA. At 79p for a big can it's better than cola.

Went into Home Bargains for the first time in ages today & walked out with a huge bag of beer. Budvar 0%, Bavaria IPA 0%, a Thomas Watkins IPA & several tins of this - which was ace last year but disappeared off the shelves overnight.

#homebrew Bergamot Witbier. 80% wheat malt, 20% Pilsner malt. Azacca hops in the boil, Huel Melon hops in the fermenter. Bergamot peel in 10 mins before the end of the boil. I'm happy with this easy drinking, dry, floral & lemon pithy beer.

Cosmos in Thailand think this lager is worth shipping round the world for Lidl to sell at 99p - none of this brewed in a factory in the midlands nonsense. This is a perfectly reasonable, dry, rice lager & I quite like it.

The first bottle of my 80% wheat, Bergamot Witbier. Unsurprisingly strong wheat character, bitter, lemon pithy & very dry. Astringent too, as it seems to suck the moisture out of your mouth - making you salivate. I like the novelty of it, but overall it's a fine drinking beer.
