Every day we see Trump and his acolytes make shit up, lie and just invent nonsense that they think makes them look good. Then the BBC reports something that “the Secretary of State” says like it’s gospel truth. We have no idea if Marco Rubio knows what he’s talking about. Trump certainly doesn’t.

One obvious problem here is that both sides are led by bullies who believe the only time anyone would ever make a concession is if they were weak. Therefore any overture or attempt at compromise is interpreted as proof they've got the other guys on the ropes and are close to claiming total victory.

You know that saying about how the way they treat asylum seekers is the way they’d treat everyone else if they thought they could get away with it? Well,
The Tories said the reduced subsistence allowance would be loaded onto pre-paid card that would not allow cash withdrawals, and would "prevent spending" on alcohol, cigarettes, or gambling.
The party is yet to detail how its proposal would work, but shadow welfare secretary Helen Whately said it would be "a version" of the pre-paid Aspen card issued to asylum seekers living in government-funded accommodation.
These cards cannot be used to make contactless, telephone or internet payments, whilst asylum seekers whose applications have failed cannot withdraw cash.

Chris Mason (BBC) reports on his “interview” with Nigel Farage. It’s not an interview. It’s an idiotic, moany rant from Farage about how he’s being picked on cos he reckons he’s a threat to the establishment. And Mason just folds like a wet cardboard box in the face of this delusional bollox.
Farage pictured with his innocent face on… (it’s hideous - my opinion)

Nigel Farage insists he's 'broken no rules'He added: "The point is, we live in a complainants' society. If you complain about me, automatically that triggers an investigation."
He said that political parties were "constantly writing to all the authorities", meaning Reform was "under investigation every day for virtually everything we do".
"There's a big picture here. The old two-party system that has dominated since the end of the First World War feels for the first time it faces an existential threat.
"There is a whole ecosystem with a century of development around this. And we come along from virtually nowhere and threaten the whole thing.”

Creating a hugely expensive, onerous, and almost certainly cruel nationwide bureaucracy to somehow task, monitor, and manage millions of wildly differently abled people as they do 20 hours of weekly community service... ... to address a 'feeling' that someone may be getting something for nothing.
Nigel Farage Tweet:

Reform will end "something for nothing" Britain.

If you can work and have been on benefits for over a year, you'll have to do 20 hours of community work every week or lose your benefits.

That's just common sense.
