Scotland has ZERO services or care on the NHS for CFS/ME. Glasgow was still referring patients to homeopathy and the debunked and dangerous GET in 2021, GPs still act like its fake and ignore NICE and WHO guidelines.

TRI-ME Trial
Researchers at Deakin University are investigating if a potential new treatment is effective in treating Myalgic Encephalomyelitis/Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (ME/CFS).

Researchers at Deakin University are investigating if a potential new treatment is effective in treating Myalgic Encephalomyelitis/Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (ME/CFS). This study will assess the effectiveness of the medication in a high-quality, clinical trial.

In a recent drug screening program, the medication showed promising potential to address the key elements of ME/CFS by reversing mitochondrial dysfunction – the likely pathway in ME/CFS.

The medication works to improve the efficiency of how the body creates energy by promoting specific energy production pathway.

Key Points for Participation
• There is no cost involved for participants in the trial
• Participants can continue on their usual treatments
• The trial will be held over 8 weeks and involve a total of 5 sessions
• Participants will be randomly allocated to receive either the active medication or placebo

If you would like to receive more information or enquire about participating, please visit their website.

I would go so far as to say most people with virus induced fatigue have no idea that’s what the cause is, and they are stumbling from pillar to post trying wellness hacks to solve the problem. Some don’t want to know even if I mention the possibility.

Surely someone with a quiet spare room could use extra income (rent + carer’s allowance). Victoria, Australia. Please share this widely. 🙏 - Urgent needs listed ⬇️ with ALT-text - Article detailing her situation: thecanary.co/global/world... #LongCovid #DV #Housing #Disability #HouseSharing #SaveAnna
#SaveAnna

Needs:
    • A room in a quiet home—she can pay rent. (She does require care assistance, but she has already qualified for this funding support & can provide a carer’s allowance.)

    • Someone in Australia, preferably in Victoria, to help do verbal communication. Anna has everything you need documented, she just needs someone to sit on the phone.

    • Funding for moving costs & aids until provision can be established.

    • A way to move safely & with consideration for her ME [severe myalgic encephalomyelitis], preventing infection risk, etc.

    • A disability advocate who is capable of helping complex cases.

Abstract

Background: The PACE trial was a well-powered randomised trial designed to examine the efficacy of graded exercise therapy (GET) and cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) for chronic fatigue syndrome. Reports concluded that both treatments were moderately effective, each leading to recovery in over a fifth of patients. However, the reported analyses did not consistently follow the procedures set out in the published protocol, and it is unclear whether the conclusions are fully justified by the evidence.

Methods: Here, we present results based on the original protocol-specified procedures. Data from a recent Freedom of Information request enabled us to closely approximate these procedures. We also evaluate the conclusions from the trial as a whole.

Chronic pain (and illness) patients experience this as a constant stream of “oh no, how awful, have you tried physical therapy/marijuana/ibuprofen”? There are two reasons this sucks. One: of course we have tried these things. Two: the exhaustion of dealing with this keeps us from talking about it.

Yep, Sharpe is a vile human being. I don't hesitate to call him a eugenicist. He was a lead on the pace trial which, when they weren't getting their desired outcomes, switched outcome measures and criteria, meaning something like 14% of participants were "recovered" at the start of the trial.
