Once again, this book is essential reading to understand just how abysmally college administrators, college PD, and local PD/DAs handle most campus rape cases. It’s an important book for men to read in its own right, but institutional victim-blaming is a central feature of the cases it covers.

I don't care that @bostonschools.boston.gov got a $500k gift to roll out AI instruction and *pay students* to be "AI ambassadors" to their peers. It is educational malpractice to embrace technology that causes "cognitive surrender". We are sabotaging our students, and for what exactly?

🧵Locally and nationally there's been a focus on the extensive surveillance capacities of Flock camera networks and the pernicious effects on privacy. While BPD has dumped its contract with Flock, it is now deploying Motorola cameras, which are every bit as useful to ICE agents as those run by Flock.

I already knew that Gov. Healey's proposal to roll back the gas tax was bad policy, but then I learned she wants to make up the difference with FAIR SHARE money (aka: the millionaires' tax), and NO. That's money for schools and for transportation, not to make up for terrible national foreign policy!
