I like what the article says, but I think HackerNoon itself could do better on accessibility when JavaScript isn’t available…
With JS disabled, the article is presented as incomprehensible vertical lines of text (punctuated by a few readable blocks)

I think it’s getting a little better—completing it in one tab reloads the others to avoid repeating it—but I’ve stopped opening the comments because it takes 10 seconds to load the CAPTCHA again every time.

And then sometimes they pop up on EVERY article.
A similar failed test to the one from earlier, but this time with hats. I still don’t know what the correct answers were.

The new @arstechnica.com CAPTCHAs are a little frustrating, especially when they seem to pop up on every second article.
A prompt to confirm I’m human by choosing which images show chairs out of a set of nine. I’ve failed the test because I marked four but there’s a fifth that I can barely recognize as a chair even now. The images are quite unclear (to make it harder for machines, I assume) so there’s a lot of squinting and thinking involved.

If a generative AI CEO is telling you something, take it with a grain of salt the size of an iceberg. So if they want regulation now, it is more likely something to do with finances than an immediate existential threat. These dipshits do not care about existential threats other than going bankrupt.

Anthropic has told its backers it will be profitable this quarter, as it moves to allay investor concerns about the aggressive cash burn of frontier AI companies ahead of its blockbuster initial public offering.

The company has told a small group of shareholders that its adjusted operating income will be positive for the second consecutive quarter, according to multiple people with knowledge of the matter. The measure strips out costs including stock-based compensation.

Anthropic’s gross margins are above 80 per cent before accounting for revenue shared with distribution partners, including Amazon, and the cost of training its models, according to two of the people.

ah yes once again the racists are the real victims
In an internal Slack message obtained by The Verge, 1Password's Karimov downplayed the overtly racist comments from DHH, telling staff the following:

As I said, people have different personal opinions. You believe in your heart that DHH is evil, that you have the moral high ground, and that nothing will change your mind.
However, not everyone believes that. It is not fair to claim a monopoly and ostracize team members who might disagree with you.

There are people who are afraid to speak up simply because they will be personally attacked.

AI executives are saying we are approaching the singularity, but AI still can not solve the "dumbest boy alive" problem, i.e. knowing that Saturday is next to Sunday, i.e. the dumbest argument in the history of the internet as outlined by @jonbois.bsky.social So yeah I think we are safe for now.
Yes — for most people, a full-body workout every other day is perfectly safe and can be an effective schedule.

That works out to roughly 3–4 workouts per week, for example:

Sunday — Full body
Tuesday — Full body
Thursday — Full body
Saturday — Full body
Sunday — repeat

The ~48 hours between sessions generally gives your muscles enough time to recover, provided the workouts aren't excessively demanding.Yes. A 4-day-per-week full-body workout on an every-other-day schedule is generally fine, assuming you're recovering well.

Your schedule of Sunday → Tuesday → Thursday → Saturday gives you about 48 hours between workouts, which is a reasonable recovery period for most people.

The main caveat is that the amount and intensity of work matters more than the calendar. If you're consistently getting stronger, not excessively sore, and feeling recovered by the next session, there's no inherent problem with doing full-body workouts 4 days a week.

Thanks for the suggestion. I picked a random non-index entry, but it unfortunately doesn’t provide any further details (except a ‘Temporary processing error’ under the Sitemaps section of Discovery… while the Sitemaps page says it’s fine). I tried the live test and everything was fine.
The URL Inspection page declares ‘URL is not on Google’ but, apart from a ‘Temporary processing error’ under ‘Sitemaps’, says eveyrthing else is fineThe live test says the URL is available to Google
