One of Mayor Wilson's best hires is Aly Pennucci, who is quietly but crucially doing an absolutely amazing job driving a bulldozer through years of calcified budget and process morass. The mayor is down in the weeds on this as well and they are an excellent team.

An important thing to admit as an advocate when talking to people who work in government - as an outsider admit you might not understand how difficult it is to implement a new policy / program & they are the expert in helping you know what to advocate for.
