I am just going to keep posting how much I love that peacock is doing something different with their broadcasts. Doing what everyone else does is boring, but safe. Doing the traditional thing poorly is safer than the highwire act peacock is attempting every single game.

continuing to not understand how other people use the terms you use will only get you in further arguments, imho like, i used to work (in compute operations) on machine learning research. that's all called AI now. it pisses me off, the distinction has been swallowed up and i gotta live with that.

this, i do not deny! in creative spaces people tend to be a lot pickier about the technologies they're comfortable using. the distinctions are important and conflating them is very much why there's a lack of trust towards the industry. and it reads like you're doing that exact same conflation here.

honestly i don't know which music platform has the Uncannily Good Algo at this point--lately apple music has been happy to surface things i haven't listened to since high school. which is a kind of rediscovery but it's not really... what i want, y'know? somehow i keep coming back to last.fm for it.

sometimes i think about how damn _good_ spotify's recommendation algorithm used to be, or the halcyon days when pandora was the It Software for finding music. a lot of the annoyance i see nowadays (haven't tried AI for this myself, i've got stranger ways of finding music) is that these all suck now.
