As the table once again devolved into accusations and cross-talk, Anora’s head was swimming, disoriented by the overlapping conversation, even as she had the sense that these were well-trod arguments and ancient histories. Words that cut, but not at vital organs.

Anora reached out and removed the data drive Joe had given her in his dying moments from the holodata and stood, her mag chair scraping along the floor. The action was more of a gesture than anything, as she did realize she had nowhere to go on an unfamiliar ship traveling through deep hyperspace, but her movement had the desired effect as the chatter abruptly ceased and the bickering spacers looked at her in the galley dimness as the holodisplay blinked out.

I guess diamonds are forever... Diamondback squids (Thysanoteuthis rhombus) are one of the few cephalopod species that are monogamous and not polyandrous. They pair up as juveniles and stay together until death. They also lay their eggs in what look like giant pink slinkies. #SQUIDtember

Prompted by a conversation on discord, it's heinous that buying a special edition hardcover doesn't even guarantee that the book will have sewn signatures anymore. Just glued like a paperback. I'm a professional bookbinder specializing in repair. This is not a book that'd survive being read a lot 🧵
