I think it's a handy option! Not mandatory by any means, but I don't think it hurts to give people the space for a different workflow as fits them. I think the challenge would be when the host has a last-minute idea for a prompt game, so I don't think it should be the expected default.

On Tiferet's end, the narration also frequently argues with itself, trains of thought stopped by notably more vitriolic remarks, mirroring how her intrusive thoughts feel. Casimir, meanwhile, has more gradual shifts in thought; even when he's reprimanding himself, it follows the same slow steps.

#LitHodgepodge 7 While I prefer writing in a close 3rd, I like to color the narration with the PoV character's voice. Tiferet's flows more fluidly, trending toward longer, more poetic and descriptive sentences, while Casimir's is more ambling, thoughts starting and stopping as one sparks the next. 🧵

Every time she sees Hyaecinthe in his eyes, all those conflicting emotions churn inside her all over again. She was so resilient before Hyaecinthe entered her life, but all that masshith did was remind Tiferet how deeply she longs for someone to really know her. To remember the woman once trapped in a little boutique and imprisoned in a den of hungry wolves, now hiding behind a smiling, iron mask.
Now there’s no one. She is truly, utterly alone again. As she always would be.
Tiferet can’t help wondering how he might react if he learns what she is. She doesn’t really know him at all; she only sees glimpses of someone who once knew her. How deeply have those glimpses affected him? How much of him is shaped by the woman who willingly loved an alukah?
He didn’t say anything about Hyaecinthe being his phoenix until pressed. What else has he left unsaid?
But she should know better than to ponder such fruitless questions. She couldn’t possibly ask him — let alone tell him. It would be a risk to her life; an idiotic misstep born out of the pathetic desire for something she knows she does not deserve and never will deserve. She’ll really never learn her lesson, will she?
Maybe she should make another mistake. The lesson might stick this time.

He lathers himself in floral soaps and shampoos and tries to ignore the feeling of wrongness when he touches his own chest and puts his hands between his own legs. As if he hasn’t spent a comfortable ninety-odd years in a male body. That’s only one of many foreign feelings he’s had to endure since Hyaecinthe possessed him. The others have only gotten worse since he arrived in Flaundrys.
Since he actually met Tiferet in person.
Rage dissolved by time and distance into mourning. Glimmers of gratitude and affection. A powerful longing at war with caution — fear, even. Conflicting and vague emotions made even more confusing without context, because Hyaecinthe hasn’t been very forthcoming with her memories. Can a phoenix hide memories from its seraph? He thought a seraph was two people perfectly fused into one, but maybe he’s mistaken. Wouldn’t be the first time.
Maybe he should’ve stopped by that seraphim facility on the way to Flaundrys — Zebul, right, that’s its name. It would’ve doubled his time stuck with Hyaecinthe, but he could’ve asked for tips on dealing with someone else’s feelings creeping into his thoughts.
Too late now, though. At this point, all he wants is to get this over with and get back to living a normal life. No more invasive phoenixes and puffed-up warlocks. Especially one specific warlock with a temper like a grease fire.
Netzach guard his soul, this journey is going to be the death of him.
