#LitHodgepodge I'm dreadful at watching shows and movies but one of the inspiring forces for TCOM was the mystery-solving of The Apothecary Diaries (and well Maomao and poisons 😂), so I'll use that one! I think Mercy and Ken would either get on board or accidentally become enemies and wreck havoc.

A six-panel comic of a yellow cat behind a cafe counter. "Hi there! How's it going-" Dark clouds are encroaching around the edges of the comic. "Oh no! Looks like you're in a worry fog! I'll take care of this for you!" The cat takes a feather duster and clears the fog away. "Shoo! Begone yucky thoughts!" The fog is gone. We can now see coffee mugs hanging on hooks, and a sign on the wall that says "It's okay to cry." "Welcome back!"

Art Nouveau style illustration of a Tarot card representing the High Priestess. Chiyo, a woman with reddish-black hair in a hime cut and clad in white robes under a navy, red and ivory kimono jacket, sits by a pond of dark reddish liquid. Behind her, a giant centipede twines its black, gold and red body around two pines standing on either side of her: the left one is dark and healthy, while the right one is pale and dead. The sky in the background is tinged red and features a large full moon. A trickle of red liquid pours from above, falling into Chiyo's cupped palm before flowing down to the pool below her.

A final good morning for 2026, #Septopolis. It's that day! Do as you will. I'll jingle the jar below but know that it is not out of any need. If anything, today, I encourage you to go find a locally owned establishment in your city and buy something. Maybe learn a fact about your local history!

A daily prompt card for #Septopolis 2026, hosted by @khonri.com.

Outro, 30. It's Free Space Day--so you know, do your promo or whatever, share a feature of your place in a topic I missed, or tell me the most interesting thing you learned through this process.

Interpret each prompt as suits your needs! Talk about relevant characters! Yap! Or don't! Develop a new city or whatever or talk about one you already built. Make friends.

The background features a slightly blurred and purple hued image of the upper section of a set photograph of Main Commercial Street in Fritz Lang's Metropolis (UFA, 1927) of towering buildings.
