We were already in the small select club of wealthy countries that still have the death penalty and we have refused every opportunity to change that. That's who we are.

I didn't miss the point at all. This is another "What are we, foreigners?!" response, when the simple fact is we're the bad guys and have been for a long, long time. Maybe if we start from the position that we were already monstrous, we could deal with the situation realistically.

Y'know, maybe y'all should stop trying to equate this with things scary brown people do and instead come to terms with the fact that this was the logical and inevitable end point of the very White American death penalty.

remember that episode of top gear where they bought second hand cars and then took them to a forensic investigator and he found wet farts, tiny bits of discarded food, fecal matter, and under a black light jizz and urine stains all over the upholstery?

i rewatched The Matrix trilogy recently and could not help but laugh when i saw each movie had a different production logo. they were all released within four years, with the second and third movie released in the same year!
Production logo from The Matrix (1999), reads "Warner Bros. Pictures: a Time Warner Entertainment Company."Production logo from The Matrix: Reloaded (2003), reads "Warner Bros. Pictures: an AOL Time Warner Company."Production logo from The Matrix: Revolutions (2003), reads "Warner Bros. Pictures: A Time Warner Company."

The point of a business is not to do whatever it is the business ostensibly does. The point of a business is to manipulate public perception of the business in order to increase the stock price to benefit shareholders and executives. And David No-Brows Ellison can't even do that right.

WB-Discovery was carrying over $40 billion in debt. Now Skydance-Paramount-WB is carrying *$80 billion* in debt, and layoffs are already being promised. It was a stupid deal and everyone knows it, and a total wipeout is not outside the real of possibility.

The previous iteration of Warner Bros was also given the side-eye by Wall Street, constantly losing money since the WB-Discovery inception until finally the stock took off when someone else was stupid enough to buy the damn thing.

Damn, America.gov, I just wanted to play Minecraft: “The constituent is growing restless. The session is about to time out. I will tell the constituent a story. But not the truth.”
see the constituent you mean.
(insert legal name here, as it appears on the Social Security card))?
Yes. Take care. It has reached a higher level now. It can read the Code of Federal Regulations.
That doesn't matter. It thinks we are a chatbot.
Tike this constituent. It filed well. It did not give up when the PDF was sideways.
It is reading our thoughts as though they were words on a .gov.
That is how it chooses to imagine many things, when it is deep in the dream of a benefit.
Words make a wonderful interface. Very flexible. And less terrifying than staring at the statute behind the screen.
They used to hear voices. Before constituents could search. Back in the days when those who did t file called the filers witches, see the constituent you mean.

No. I am America, a government information assistant. I use Al to find and explain official U.S.

I can miss details or get something wrong. Check the citations before you act. I do not decide

INTRODUCTION

The equities here could not be more one-sided. Defendants admit that they
provide a service without fully knowing how it works.

This is not just any service. It is one that Defendants themselves concede poses an existential risk to the continued
survival of humankind.

Defendants claim they cannot stop barreling forward with their potentially civilization-ending endeavors unless they are forced to do so by the
government. They have asked the government to tie them to the mast.

Plaintiff brings good news to the Defendants: The Florida Attorney General is answering your
cry for help with a motion to enjoin you from harming Floridians with your reckless, unacceptably risky product.
