City governments are going to have to be both creative and bold when it comes to resisting ICE and the most obvious place to start here is pulling all, all, all NYPD cooperation, even incidental, with ICE. Let them do their own crowd control and traffic management.

The lone woman on Tennessee's death row was still alive after she was administered two lethal injections, her lawyer said in a motion seeking to halt her execution Wednesday night, a stunning development after the Supreme Court had stepped in to allow the state to put her to death.
At 8:26 p.m. local time, witnesses said
"executioners had injected both syringes of lethal injection chemicals and Pike is still alive and snoring," her lawyers said in a federal court filing.

Not a lawyer, but this appears to be handled in civil courts. Likewise, the only semblance of relief in the Hockey Canada case was in civil settlements. It’s not that any of these men are innocent, as there defenders would claim, but that the criminal system is broken for rape survivors.
