The largest federal lines are major rehabilitation and reconstruction ($134.4M with local match) and preventive maintenance and resurfacing ($128.2M). Local money covers street paving ($34.1M), alleys ($15.1M) and local streets.

There are lots of doomsday transit plans out there for WMATA without funding but is there one for the District if federal transportation funds were cut? I’d be interested in how roadways would need to be closed to vehicles other than busses to ensure fiscal solvency and the impact to maintenance.

Gas prices have risen dramatically this year. For the typical driver, that's $65 more spent on gas monthly. If you're a typical F-150 driver in states like Alabama, Kansas, Mississippi, or Missouri, you're spending >$350 a month on gas now. We've got to give people other options.

Having a Statehood for D.C. yard sign when I lived in DC was cool (❤️ Takoma DC ❤️) but statehood is going to require support from places that already have representation. Don't live in D.C.? Get one of these signs and make sure your members are on board with S. 51 and H.R. 51.! #DCStatehood

Here's a fun ahead-of-midterms fact: it's harvest season. If you have a combine with a 400-gallon tank, you're spending ~$2800 to fill it up. That's...a lot.
