2 Sep is a bad day for the UK MPA community as we remember our friends and colleagues who perished on this day in 1995 and 2006 when XV239 and XV230 crashed in Toronto and Afghanistan respectively. Till we meet again in the Scruffs’ Bar. 😢

Do you know why the Germans don’t slap a swastika over all their ‘heritage’ items? Because they’re fucking ashamed of it, that’s why. Any state with any decency would be mortified by its regretful association with this morally disgusting symbol of the past.

Sir, — There have been virtually no death notices in the Henley Standard of late. Has there been a miraculous reduction in the number of people dying in Henley? Perhaps you could let us know the statistics of the last couple of months? — Yours faithfully,

This is the story of a naive and rather sensitive young Australasian romantic who arrived in Paris in 1934 determined not to be uncouth, and of how her experiences made her the woman who K.O.'d a waiter with her bare fist in a Paris club in 1945.
