The reason I loathe this saying, "don't let perfect be the enemy of the good." It's often used by those who want to justify profit over people. If Carney regulates AI and data centers to the point of being "good enough," the cost could be people's jobs, their homes, lands, even their lives.

We did it. We ignored the warnings, and now we're at the point of no return. Even if we decrease the temperature and 'stabilize' the climate, the impacts are inevitable. Rising sea level, species extinctions, human displacement, changes to food and water systems, and more.

I've been away for a couple months and am shocked to see that Calgary raised bus fare to $4 a ride, which is actually a deciding factor on whether or not I will take the bus today. I likely won't. I'd wager this is one way to choke the system even more than it already is, and decrease ridership.

This is talking about buying rotisserie at a specific store in NYC but it should be noted that in *this economy*, at least in my corner of Canada, buying a rotisserie chicken at the grocery store is cheaper than buying raw, and these days even raw whole. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise.
