🌍⚠️ A UK intelligence report links climate and nature loss directly to national security. It warns that collapsing ecosystems could increase risks of food shortages, migration, conflict and economic disruption. Showing how climate change is starting to be treated as a security and resilience issue.

Why is the UK’s suppressed climate national security report significant?
Warnings about the catastrophic effects of vital ecosystems collapsing were not published under previous prime minister

Two things: 1. If you're still in labour at this point you are not on the left of anything 2. If you expected Burnham to actually move the party left you are politically illiterate. He made very clear his principles during his leadership bid in the byelection.

Thank you to the Independent for including me in Climate List of Worlds Top 100. The UK Labour Govt are due to approve new oil & gas licences in the north sea. They've delayed the decision post October 8th. We can invest in renewables instead. Vote Green in Holborn & St Pancras
Since becoming leader of the Green Party in 2025, Zack Polanski has made the links between climate change, inequality and the cost of living central to his politics, arguing that environmental action must also make people’s lives better.

This summer, as the UK faced its hottest summer ever and wildfires swept across the UK and the rest of the globe, he called for oil and gas companies to pay higher taxes to fund climate adaptation. That is alongside investment in cooling homes and public spaces and bringing water companies into public ownership.

Yes, fair dues: most people do not encounter hate-filled, calculating right wing psychopaths in their day to day lives, so it would not occur to them that anyone would behave that horrifically. That’s how hate-filled, calculating right wing psychopaths prosper.
"He sat in that chair an awful lot," says Lawson, pointing to my seat in his London flat-turned-office. The party organiser who masterfully engineered Starmer's rise had spent a couple of years courting Lawson, drawing out his political ideas over the dining table.
"It made sense to me that he said his project was Corbynism without Corbyn - let's get rid of the antisemitism, let's professionalise it, but the underlying facts of the 2008 crash, austerity, the composition of the electorate means that we've got to do something like Corbynism.
"Little did I know he was just an undercover, like the cops who join Greenpeace or CND. He was there to understand how the lett thinks, in order to replicate it in a way that he could win an election."election."
Q

So, he does not believe there was any genuine intellectual curiosity there? "No, it was a complete and utter - ironically - entryist job. It was the 'Morgan tendency' - to infiltrate a group of people, understand how they operate and bend it to your will," Lawson replies. "As soon as you've won it, you kick the ladder away, shut the door and start pouring boiling oil over the people who've just voted for you."
Does he think Starmer was in on the plan, or merely a passenger? "I think he was just thinking about Keir and what was good for Keir, and this was good for Keir."
Lawson today describes himself in no less scathing terms than a Corbynite on social media might use against him: "Neal Lawson, the most naive person in left-wing politics."
With Burnham, a leader he did back, now in No 10, for some on his wing of the party the question arises: has the most naive person in left-wing politics been duped again?

First #Naza trailer - talking about the underlying principle adopted by the #Israeli Government and for which the #ICC in #TheHauge want #Netanyahu arrested and brought to their detention. "There are NO innocent people in Gaza" www.hollywoodreporter.com/movies/movie...
While according to The Guardian, the chief of general staff of the Israeli military reportedly claimed the film was “based on blood libels, deliberate distortions of reality and grave, false accusations against IDF soldiers and commanders.”

The Hollywood Reporter‘s review called the film a “sober and thoroughly documented bombshell of an exposé … which deserves to enter the historical record in the same way as Claude Lanzmann’s Shoah …

Both works bear witness to acts of genocide —

this is the term employed by an IDF officer in the film — and both use a rigorous interview process to get people to speak of the unspeakable, the main difference being that NAZA focuses exclusively on the perpetrators instead of the victims.”Harry Davies, a Guardian investigations correspondent and a NAZA producer said in a statement:

“NAZA is grounded in rigorous journalism published over the past three years, but it is also a powerful piece of cinema that will soon be available on screens, large and small, around the world.

The initial response from those who’ve seen it shows audiences are engaging deeply with the urgent questions the film raises.”

NAZA will have a theatrical release in the United States starting in New York on Sept 30th and

then expands to other markets on Oct. 9th, followed

by a larger rollout.

The film will later stream on The Guardian website for free. —
