I would think someone in an administration that has committed an almost unprecedented number of crimes, that no real legal expert even debates are crimes, would be more careful with the phrase "these people broke the law"

If you're trying to "solve art" you're either incredibly stupid or incredibly evil. Art isn't a problem, it's a solution

There is a long history of people who feel oppressed by a small, close power allying with a big, distant power to overthrow them. This often works quite poorly for those who attempt it, and when the small, close powers are "your doctor" and "your teacher" it's gonna go real bad.

The point of cultural artifacts is that they are shared. Literally that's what makes them "culture." Will there be low value slop content in the background? Yes. Will it "personalized content" displace shared art and artists (even if some of those are synthetic some day)? No.

Peter Magyar is currently enacting a Liberal Currents fantasy where he amends the constitution to ban anyone associated with the old regime from ever holding office again and is somehow polling at 68% (he won with 53%) and I’m not saying that’s possible anywhere else but Dems should like, ask him

Does the president have the unilateral authority to tear down large parts of the White House?

No. Federal law does not give the President unlimited power to demolish or rebuild large parts of the White House on his own. I cannot give legal advice.
Main legal limit
• Congress has plenary authority over federal property and the District of Columbia.

Is President Trump mentioned repeatedly in the Epstein case files?

Yes. Official materials say President Trump's name appears in the released Epstein-related files. A mention is not proof of a crime.

The year is 2037. Through heroic union effort, First Year Writing still exists. But I must face a new horror. Students in my online class attempt to use the prompt exploits they learned for their high school tutor bots on me.

"Writing is thinking" is one of those rhetorical overstatements we love in academia. While I appreciate it's clarity and boldness, it may ultimately conceal more than it reveals (as they say). "Writing is a powerful and transformative tool for thought" is clunkier but I think more accurate.

Trump’s new AI website is kinda fun, it turns out.
Can the president use taxpayer funds to air his old campaign ads on TV?

No. Federal appropriations law has long barred using taxpayer funds for political advertising.

When they get back in power, Democrats need to go all-in on higher education. We need a campaign of reinvestment in public universities across the country that makes the Morrill Land-Grant Act look like nothing by comparison *and* a GI Bill of Rights-style program of tuition grants.

This is quite cool. My university is the first organisation in the world to force Microsoft to allow us to turn off copilot summaries in Word 365, after a backlash against it from staff (including, very vocally, me). That cannot have been easy for our heroic IT people so hats very much off to them!

The most important thing about Muse is there is no way to provide a service like Muse without giving it every iota of your daily life and no economic model to provide a service like Muse for any reason other than using all that data to model you as a consumer/voter. This is a provocative and important argument. I'm not sure I am convinced but I am not sure that's for the right reasons. "If we make mass communication too cheap the Worst will automatically dominate" is a dismal argument. But is it *wrong?* Not sure. Definitely a useful bit of grit to roll around.
