Diversifying investment works for fandom too! I was a huge Bill Cosby fan for many years and a Louis CK fan for a few years. Saw them both perform live, funny stuff. News came out and I was like, "Damn, that's awful!" My "loves comedy" identity was unharmed! My list just had a few names replaced.
