I'm sure we'll hear the usual free speech defenders out in force on the BBC, ITV channel 4 etc etc, Sally Rooney invited onto question time, good morning Britain, LBC etc to explain how she's been silenced I'm sure. That's what usually happens when someone is silenced I'm led to believe.

I think what Macklemore and now Sally Rooney have proven is that uber-fame isn’t where the moral artist is truly free. It’s the upper-middle tier where you have a dedicated body of fans who ride for you and the wider population who may be ambivalent about your art also ride for you for being sound

This is how the whole thing is stacked — people in their 60s and 70s with houses paid off, money in the bank and EVs in the drive saving ever more money on solar and energy efficiency grants while renters in their 30s pay €1.80 a litre to heat 40 year old moldy uninsulated garrets.

Interesting RTE Radio 1 brings a Berlin correspondent from right wing rag the Telegraph to cover the hard left Die Linke's fairly radical plan to address corporate landlord companies owning 100/1000s of homes. He brings up some "Hamas supporter" who showed up at their election celebration #speirgorm

Burnham's more a centrist soc-dem, but that the WSJ, which fired one of their Hong Kong-based journalists for standing for a press union election, w/ said newspaper's publisher being convicted of "wilfully preventing Cheng from exercising her right" would call this socialism, tracks.
