this is so weird. I assumed he went after the extremely narrow set of "RTÉ twitter posts" in the first place because he was grasping at straws, but I think this dimwit is actually so phone-poisoned he doesn't think any of this coverage happened because he didn't see it on X, the Everything App

Won't be surprising to hear this RTE programme on food is frustrating the hell out of me. Only highlight is UCC's Thia Hennessy, only one bringing reality of actually producing food. Ivor Deverall explaining how hard summer was was good, but then cognitive disconnect of how to buy cheap #speirgorm

This week’s housing opinions of economists that don’t hold up to any scrutiny at all, in my view #Speirgorm #Housing
How will the market make them more affordable? I think what will happen is, if the economy stays strong, wages will keep rising. Wages are supposed to rise by 3pc or 4pc and house prices won’t rise that fast. They’ll flatline, or they’ll rise at a lower rate — and therefore that overvaluation will be worked off gradually over time, by wages outstripping house prices.” Alan Ahern in Irish Independent We need far more apartments in our cities, and the asking prices for these apartments must fall. The State must fast-track building in the cities. We need to build up, because obviously the more floors in a building, the cheaper the apartments ultimately built will be – and we also need to reduce the ability of serial objectors to put spurious spanners in the works.
