This is a real photo I took from my time this summer at West Chester U. Apparently someone found this in the music faculty lounge and our recorder instructor decided that “Danny DeVito pillow” made for a perfect rhythmic ostinato.

The STEM vs. Humanities argument makes no sense because some of the dumbest people have STEM degrees and some of the vilest people have Humanities degrees. It's a pretty complex topic because we have so many sciences for a reason, and the reason is that we need all of them.

FTR I’ve been side hustling my entire career, often for way less than I’m worth. Private lessons, tutoring, camps, media writing, grants, so much. For the first time this year I’m trying really hard to stay focused, work at my job, make it a great year, and finish my GD dissertation.

Starting to learn that many people don’t actually want to be influencers or streamers. Side hustle & part-time jobs are quickly being gobbled up by AI. Or there are decent part-time jobs in which you actually feed AI. Hence the affiliate marketers take off.
