Ukraine's refinery attacks did not raise US diesel costs. Russia's initial invasion of Ukraine caused a massive spike, that came down. Ukraine's campaign against Russian refineries started in August 2025, diesel declined $0.01/wk until the Iran war started when it increased $0.03/wk. (data: eia.gov)

I'll just let the pictures tell the story re the miscasting. As for the rest of the film, the most damning thing I can say is they made a movie about LUCILLE BALL unfunny and boring. Even the HUAC subplot was trite & tedious rather than what it could've been.

A drop in the bucket that only works if Zelenskyy stops blasting Russian diesel production. In other words, par for the course for these cretins.

That sounds sadly like the problems in his incredibly unfunny, why is Javier Bardeem (who, in fairness, is usually great) playing Desi Arnaz in a biopic about Lucille Ball that Sorkin also did. Or the hash he made of the Trial of the Chicago Seven.

This afternoon in Marble Hill, a New Yorker was shot by an ICE agent in a residential neighborhood. Early reports indicate agents surrounded him and a 5-year-old child in his car before firing multiple rounds. We believe the child was physically unharmed.

This is an unconscionable and incredibly serious situation. I have called the President; when we speak I will demand that he ends all ICE enforcement actions in our city. I will not stand by while ICE agents terrorize our communities.

Our thoughts are with the injured New Yorker and his family tonight. We are praying for his recovery.

Get ICE out of our neighborhoods. Get ICE out of our hospitals. Get ICE off our streets. Get ICE away from our children.

Abolish ICE.

This is Nazi rhetoric, full stop. It's not only a call to instigate a race war in the United States, but it's reminiscent of historic European justifications used to incite pogroms against Jews. People who say things like this are incredibly dangerous, as there is nothing they won't eventually do.

Also interesting is this chart on confidence in Trump to make good policy decisions. Even Republicans have double-digit drops in confidence in Trump's ability to make good decisions on immigration. He's doing even worse on the economy and foreign policy. even among his base.
Confidence in Trump on economy, foreign policy, immigration is lower than earlier in his term
% who are very/somewhat confident Trump can do each of the following

1. Make good decisions on immigration:
Republicans and lean Republicans fell from 88% to 77%, and Democrats from 20% to 13% (it dropped to 8% in the last poll, so this is a bit of an outlier; likely doesn't mean much).
Total: a drop from 53% to 41%.

2. Make good decisions about the economy.
Republicans and lean Republicans fell from 92% to 67%, and Democrats from 27% to 10%. Total: a drop from 59% to 35%.

3. Make good decisions about foreign policy:
Republicans and lean Republicans fell from 88% to 67%, and Democrats from 19% to 9%. Total: a drop from 53% to 35%.

Nice dodge, seeing as you tried claiming AI will stop climate change when the evidence shows the exact opposite is true. Being good at making things worse undermines your case instead of bolstering it while failing to address the consistent failure to profit or deliver as promised in most cases.

Ok, this is cool. We describe assets in terms of duration - think of this as the effective date of the payoff. Normally a rise in interest rates means shorter duration- a higher discount rate means lower value of farther-off payments, so the average date is sooner. giftarticle.ft.com/giftarticle/...

Not sure people realize how much gas-fired electricity generation US developers are planning to bring online. PJM's updated interconnection queue, for example, is 71% gas by capacity and 73% gas by likely energy generation. And this is *electricity*; the other 82% of final energy is ~all fossil.
