Post a game you remember playing that nobody else remembers

Onslaught is a first-person shooter released on WiiWare in 2009, developed by Shade and published by Hudson Soft. You play as a soldier with two squadmates trapped on a planet of giant alien insects. Your arsenal features four guns (aimed with the Wii Remote, a la Metroid Prime 3), grenades, and a plasma whip (motion-controlled with the Nunchuk, pictured above); it also features shiftable formations for your squadmates (the icon on the bottom-right) and a mechanic where killing bugs up close splatters their blood on your visor, which you wipe off by waving the Wii Remote (letting it sit will deal damage to you over time). The game features scoring and level ranks, with a combo system where multiple consecutive kills yield more points and nonsensical banter from your squadmates ("That's why you're still a kid!"). It also featured a now-likely-terminated co-op mission mode for up to 4 players online.

Despite the noteworthy publisher and some positive reception from sites like ScrewAttack and NintendoLife, it's been largely forgotten. All the WiiWare retrospectives I see these days overlook it completely, but it's a campy but solid FPS that does a lot with WiiWare's heavily constrictive data size constraints.
