Conversion therapy in the west also includes asexuality. This isn’t a first nor will it be a last, so this isn’t shocking. High control religious people may be prudes, but they also want you to feel ashamed for your sexual attraction. If you lack one, then they view you as incomplete or inhuman

If you need a pickmeup, Ukraine struck and destroyed a Russian data center last night, reducing Russian bot traffic by 50%, dropping online pro-AfD discussion to zero, cratering MAGA traffic, and making Elon big mad. Just in time for the mid-terms. Slava fucking Ukraini.

AI doesn't "bring the archive to life" or to even "show what this looked like in color." The medium is the message, in the sense that there is never life in a photo, there is a material object with artifacts that memorialized technology as much as any moment. It's all more imagination avoidance

Dorothy B. Porter changed libraries 💜 The Dewey Decimal System used to only have two classifications for Black people: 325 (colonization) & 326 (slavery). Each book by a Black person was put into one of these classifications. A book of poetry? Classified as colonization. Enter Dorothy B. Porter 🧵

like i am sorry you will never be able to surpass this mercutio and this tybalt
Harold Perrineau as Mercutio in ROMEO + JULIET. He's a handsome Black man. He's in drag, with a huge white afro, long white gloves, a sparkly white skirt and bustier combo and surrounded by men dancing and bowing down to him. Mercutio has his hands lifted and a huge smile on his face. John Leguizamo as Tybalt in ROMEO + JULIET. He's a handsome latin man. His dark hair is parted severely to the left into a slight pompadour. He has on a gun holster around his shoulders over a sleeveless top with an image of Jesus painted on the front. He has a gun in hand and a holster slung low on his hip.

My Rage Against the Machine/Les Mis mashup is complete. This is my interpretation of the quilt guild’s summer challenge “quilt with your interpretation and/or feelings towards our current ‘democracy’” all hand stitched.
Quilt hanging on a card catalog. Neutral background with navy cursive appliqué “Do you hear thr people sing?” The background is embroidered in red starting light and getting bolder the lyrics to “killing in the name” the quilting effect is a focused sunburst from the center.
